anyone know of a mustang developed in 1970, was used in Vietnam, only 2 ever made, never released to the public, starts with an L?????

PLEASE HELP!!!

There were a couple of drag racers that were used to boost morale back then, but there were also 8 standard Mustangs that traveled with those two race cars. Al Eckstrand had the Lawman Mustang. If I remember correctly, one of the race cars was destroyed during shipment when the shipping container it was in tipped over.

I was wrong. There were 8 TOTAL Mustangs including the two race cars, not 8 regular Mustangs and the 2 race cars.

Lawman. One was totaled and never rebuilt.The other is still out doing shows every now and again. Blown Boss 429. Blue and white as I recall. Forget about buying it, never happen, museum piece like the first Shelby Cobra. They were built to help moral in Nam.

Doug is right...those were like Boss Mustangs if I remember...ashame that one got messed up.

Good job Doug,

Yeah I remember that. I couldn't remember who they were, but I did see the news clip some years ago. It was a drag car. I think they did burn outs on the runways. Good memory.
