People, she said "fish". Whales are not fish, they are mammals. Orca are actually dolphins (also mammals - just thought I would toss out a little trivia).
The correct answer is the whale shark, at over 50 feet long, it is the largest fish on the planet. And, a little more trivia, like the largest mammal - the blue whale - it eats plankton and krill.

The biggest fish is the whale shark. Ever see the movie Jackass? Stev-o and Pontious swim with them. I live in Okinawa and get to swim with the same ones....They are huge. The whales don't count as they are mammals, and not fish.

Whale shark! I love sharks so much; I have no idea why, but ever since I was a kid I found them endlessly fascinating. Did you know that basking sharks eat plankton and krill, just like whale sharks? They're so cool! I like tiger sharks the best, though. Sorry for sounding like a 12 year old boy, but for some reason that question just took me back.

The Great White Shark, or the Orca. Of course, there are other big fish, too- such as sword fish. Lot bigger than a salmon. Although, in some ways, you could probably count the Squid and the octopuss. They're big and round.
