Even to say that man evolved from bacteria in no way can contradict a thing that can't be proven in the first place (imaginary supernatural friends). So you could acknowledge science and still go on "mutating" your fanciful god imaginings all day long to still be the "source" of the science.
So what's the problem? Are you more devoted to your deities or books written by humans (for example, Genesis)? Wouldn't that be putting the cart before the horse?
Show me the bones of the person who wrote Genesis, I don't believe they existed!

"True science does not back evolution?" The only objection to evolution, for over a century, has been coming from OUTSIDE the scientific community. Here is one example of support: http://www.interacademies.net/Object.File/Master/6/150/Evolution%20statement.pdf
Sporker: have I ever considered blah ... re-read the question, you have missed the point. I already said you could assign whatever mythological CAUSE to evolution you want. I am talking about evolution, your are talking about the "creator" of evolution. Apples and oranges (hence this question in the first place!).

There is a disturbing trend of scientists, teachers, and students coming under attack for expressing support in the theory of intelligent design, or even just questioning evolution. The freedom of scientists, teachers, and students to question Darwin's theory, or to express alternative scientific hypothesis is coming under increasing attack by people that can only be called Darwinian fundamentalists.”
New Ben Stein Flick, Expelled, Blows the Whistle on Evolution.
Expelled is a disturbing new documentary that will shock anyone who thinks all scientists are free to follow the evidence wherever it may lead.

Evolution (molecules to man) contradicts the Bible, period. The God of the Bible would be a fraud if evolution is true (death before sin etc.) Molecules to man evolution is not even science anyway (not observable, testable, or repeatable), it's a philosophy which you have to trust in. Did I miss when scientists discovered the time machine? Natural selection only selects from the current information and mutations only corrupt information. You can come up with as many theories as you want, but true science does not back evolution.

Have you ever stopped to think of how very unlikely it is that somehow, the right chemicals came together under the right atmospheric conditions and had electricity shot through them and eventually formed a creature? For that matter, have you ever thought about how very unlikely it is that even if this were the case, that the Earth would be set up in such a way that it had everything this primitive lifeform needed to survive? It goes against all odds. To make this even less likely, there was no driving force behind all of this. I don't know about you, but my chemistry experiments have never done themselves. Something this intricate probably couldn't create itself, either.

Because a person belives Genesis does not make them a 'creationist' that's YOUR label! If you choose to believe that you 'evolved' from some 'premordial' soup GO FOR IT! Show you th'bones? well you show ME the missing link! you got darwin's THEORY. And YOUcan't prove that! Yeah you evolved all right and don't even know from WHAT! Was Darwin a human? he wrote your book. Didn't he?

God has been forced from the trees and from the grasses. He has been made to leave the clouds and the sky. Even the stars can't share his glances as they roll into black holes.
Every force has been scrubbed, every particle weighed, God has fled backward toward the beginnings of time. As the first moment is seen, God retreats into nothingness...
But still, in that small place where life began, will we make God leave there as well?

it fairly is a great question yet do not forget approximately that their "concept" has been around for an exceedingly long term and has on no account produced a single shred of exact info to diminish back it up. A one thousand+ years is a protracted time to anticipate a single piece of info plenty as helping the literal Biblical interpretation of the Bible. i think of we could continuously merely save engaged on the technological know-how that truly works. In technological know-how, perception is beside the point until eventually it produces effects. reality would not care who it makes satisfied.

Because somewhere some moron got the idea thatr if they could "disprove evolution," atheists would automatically buy religion's claims. Hate to disappoint them, but intelligent people were often atheists long before Darwin's day; Seneca noted that religion is viewed by the wise men as false, the common men as true, and the rulers as useful...hundreds of years before Darwin was born.

Faith in god is now being challenged by science, and this is tragic to the people who believe in the supernatural, in my opinion! I don't believe they will want to believe in evolution even if you show all the proof in the world, because it would mean the collapse of part of their faith.

I kinda think it doesn't make sense for the R & S community to answer diatribes not implying any desire for sensible inquiry or dialogue.
