Unfortunately I think you know what the answers are going to be. It's NOT a wise move to be having an affair w/a family member. Maybe that's why the two of you hit it off so well, there was just something there that made it easy to communicate & just plain got along well together. You no doubt think very similar about things, have a lot in common, just things family members have automatically except you just didn't know. It is NOT a good idea to be dating a family member tho. And, forget having children & interbreading. That alone would not be good at all. Unfortunately, you're going to have to discuss it & make a break of a romantic relationship. You're going to have to face reality & accept it for what it is. That sure is an unfortunate happening. I feel you found out now for a reason so you can do what you know you have to do. Of course you w/remain friends, you are related. But the romantic end of things must end. Just ashame, but there was definately a reason you found out now before it was too late to do anything about it. Things definately happen for a reason & this is the reason. Talk it over w/him & decide just what you both know you have to do. I certainally wish you the very best. But accept it & PLEASE do what you know you have to do for the sake of all involved.

If this is true and not merely one of those "Penthouse letters," I'd say ignore it. He's only a half brother and unless your common mother has a history of hereditary problems in her family background, it wouldn't even affect children if you had any.

There are remote places in Asia where cousins marry regularly, and there are problems with genetic defects. In fact, there are problems with the Amish and genetic defects. This isn't due as much to close relationships as it is to a small gene pool.

Ye-ah. Strange situation indeed, one I've always wondered about (yes, I wonder 'bout the strangest things). Here is what you should do, put simply-
1. Break up
2. Talk to your mom about the situation.
3. Call Oprah. It'll make QUITE the special episode (just kidding).

Well, i suggest you stop being a couple immediately because well its very taboo, socially unaccepted, and just weird.

You're both young. You;re 15 and he's 17. you have you;re whole life ahead of you. start thinking about the future.

you cant be with your brother and have children for one. if you do then the risks of having a seriously handicaped child is greatly increased. you may consider the fact that your confusing your love for him as a boyfrind with the love that brothers and sisters share.

OMG, break it off immediately, I know it'll be really hard but this is illegal! It's best in the long run if you break it off
