I am thinking of buying a 2000 Grand Prix GTP Daytona 500 Edition it has 160,000 miles on it. I'm buying it from a dealership - As Is No Warrety- for 7,500 dollars. I checked Kelley Blue Book the price id right in the middle.
Does anyone know is this a good car?
Is that alot of miles?
How do check this car to make sure it's a good car?
I just want to know is the car worth my money!!!!

Adjusting for the miles, that car would be a good deal, if it had $3500 or more in cash in a bag under the seat!

The car is worth less than $4000, and it would have to be in almost show car condition to be worth that much!

Run from this deal!

I have a Grand Prix GT that I have had for 6 years and love it. It holds the curves great and very comfortable to drive. Not much on a traveling car though. Never had any trouble with it until last year. Still have it. Mine is a 2 door and I sure do wish I had gotten a 4 door. Would have been so much easier. I do think the price is a little high. Shop around or give them the price you will pay.... if they want to sell bad enough, they will work with you.

I have 2 grand prixs , they have been great cars, but they only have about 160,000 miles on them.I think the miles are really high on that car for that much money. I think I payed about $2,000 apiece for my cars when they had around 100,000 miles.

dont do it, get a ford , if you must waste your money take a real mechanic to inspect it first , have the oil sampled and sent to a lab to determine if the engine has bad bearings or rings or alot of other contaminents
