First off that show is about polygamists and not Mormons.
Second this proves that the HBO show does not know what they are talking about.
we are prohibited from having sex outside of our marriage and we are prohibited from having more than one spouse and we are prohibited from "same-sex" relations, and we are prohibited from viewing/making pornography, and we are prohibited from masturbation.
All this is on an honor basis because we have to report ourselves -- no one is checking up on these things!!
What my wife and I do -- is up to us!!!!
No one asks us any questions about our sex life.
HBO knows JACK

Who says we don't? The church stays out of "the bedroom" once a couple is married...pretty much anything is fair game as long as both are comfortable with it and it only involves the husband of wife of course.
That show - Big Love - those characters are not members of the LDS church, they represent an off-shoot group that still practices polygamy, which was banned by the LDS church years ago. If any member were practicing polygamy, they would be excommunicated.
Maybe the lady in the show just didn't want it...some women don't.

There are Mormons that have oral sex. They just don't approve of any premarital sex. And that show on HBO is called Big Love and it is not representing people in the LDS church...they're showing the FLDS, a break off group.

What goes one in one's bedroom is NONE of your business. And the guy with 3 wives, is NOT a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Dances with Poultry: Show me that letter on LDS.org and I'll believe it's legit!

Peter, Im enormously specific there is not any longer something by any potential taught approximately oral intercourse interior the temple. you will possibly have drawn very own interpretations from issues you're taught there approximately morality, even nevertheless this is not any longer observed in any way interior the temple. Please dont declare stuff like that based on your very own interpretations. Thats how crap like this gets unfold around. the only time oral intercourse became ever stated to ME became a bishop telling me he discovered it to be demeaning to females. i will see how some human beings sense that way, its an act of subjugation. even nevertheless, i will see how its additionally no longer and for some it doesnt in any respect come for the period of that way. i think of, the two way, it ought to have been some thing pronounced against with solid intentions. whilst they found out it became out of line to "pass there" with married couples, they stopped speaking approximately it. in spite of everything it became achieved with the intention to guard the respect of females, so in spite of if it became out of line (and finally found out as so) it became meant to be a thank you to boost the females of the church. They figured it out. Its no longer stated in any putting in church anymore, till its been achieved exterior of marriage.

As an outsider (non-Mormon) this is the first that I heard of such things. If this is a concern, you would be best to ask someone in the Mormon church about this. There are bigger concerns about the church than this though (the nature of God, salvation etc.)

Speaking as a non-Mormon, but with a limited understanding of deeper Mormonism, I believe it is similar (but not exactly) to the Roman Catholic belief that sex is intended for procreation only. Please forgive ignorance, fellow posters, if I am confused. Have a great day!

When I was a Mormon, this was something that was NEVER discussed.. However, they danced around the issue with sayings like this: "If you have to ask, it's probably wrong."
It's completely ridiculous.

Your point is valid, as ludicrous as it may seem to put into print. Mormon sexuality is right in line with the rest of the cult.
