I have killed in battle, and NO it is not a sin.
I have also saved the life of an enemy combatant.

Edit...I hated every minute of it.

This is a controversial issue, and even many Christians disagree with me here. I don't believe that killing is wrong when used for self-defense, such as in a war. (Also, Jesus says that there there is no one good, and that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Everyone is evil, just some are redeemed.) It is a decision everyone must make for themselves. Would more people come to Christ if you fought and saved their lives, or would more die before being saved through the conflict? I believe all we can do is pray for the souls of the fallen, and trust God's mercy.

However, why would police be the only one's who could use deadly force? They face death often, but surely not as much as a soldier.

I don't know if there is a sin involved, in killing an enemy when involved in a military conflict.
I know that we can be our own worst enemy, because of guilt incurred from the action.

To feel the warm blood on your hands of an enemy who's life you have just taken, stirs one to ponder this question: Just what was this persons heart really like, outside of the battle and the war zone?

i assume it relies upon. Are they actually protecting their united states? Or are they in basic terms a factor of a few conflict that became began for egocentric motives? i don't likely have self assurance in sin, so that's not ordinary to assert. despite the fact that, i will say that it relies upon on what they are doing. squaddies who connect the conflict even while there is loads of squaddies and that they are on the triumphing element in all likelihood in simple terms want to accomplish a little shooting. that should be sinful, i assume. while they are protecting their united states with their blood and sweat, then I say that's heroic. despite the fact that, if it quite is a Christian's definition of sin, then in simple terms combating frequently seems to be frowned upon by skill of Jesus. even while that's in self protection.
