I have been called dumb and an idiot when I have been in this sight when I've asked questions or given answers and maybe I am but I'm not blind I can see that he has done nothing good at least for not the majority of this country which is the middle class. The only thing I see you republicans worried about is yourselves. I have always joked about you white conseritives being the devil but you all seem to prove that it's not really a joke. I'm not sure how you even look at yourselves asking questions like I saw the other night. How do we get rid of poor people? What kind of people are you. You and your precious George Bush are the reason that good decent caring people are embarresed. You should be so proud.

Well I don't worship at the altar of George Bush, but I do agree with more conservative viewpoints than liberal.
The Democratic party has shifted far left towards Socialism, which I am strongly opposed to. Bush has failed to be fiscally conservative and has sold out to big business by not enforcing border problems and illegal hiring of illegal aliens.
On the other hand, he inherited a bursting dotcom stock market bubble, was hit with the worst ever attack on US soil, had to respond to 9-11 with a military that the Clinton administration had scaled down, presided over the worst ever natural disaster to strike a US city, the highest worldwide oil prices, (even inflation adjusted) in our history, and yet we are still experiencing historically low unemployment, historically low interest rates, and the Dow recently hit an all time high, even while our resources are being taxed by the war in the Middle East.
You can certainly argue whether or not we should have gotten involved in Iraq, (don't forget most of the Democrats agreed with that on too), but I think we are fighting a very serious enemy, (radical Islamic fundamentalist), who are spawned in the Middle East, who have been attacking us for about 30 years and who are currently focused on Iraq. 9-11 was just the last straw.
As far as someone posting about "getting rid of poor people", what does that have to do with Bush, or most republicans? Morons post all kinds of garbage on YA.
I personally believe that people should be responsible for themselves and if someone has opted not to educate themselves, is too irresponsible or lazy to hold a job, then we, (the responsible people who work every day & pay taxes), shouldn't be responsible for anything more than making sure they don't starve to death or die of a medical emergency. As things stand now, no one is starving or dying while being locked out of hospitals, but plenty of people take advantage of the social programs currently in place because they have been spoonfed all of their lives by these bloated programs which are only growing every year and producing no results but fatter recipients with more children who will learn the same cycle of non contribution to society. Eventually the people who contribute will get smothered by those who do not.
That's just common sense.

I am sorry. I am so blind that I can not read your post. It is a post becuase it is more a tirad than a question. Maybe you should get a blog and spout on your blathering there! I am always amazed at the wonderful "questions" that I read on this site, as opposed to sight which is what I really do have. For I really do see what is out in the world becuase I have been there.

It appears that 50 years of dummycrats running congress did not do much for the poor. If liberals look at the facts perhaps Bush's giving more to the poor and entitlement programs than the Clinton's ever did might wake them up.

Sounds liker a race issue is hidden in this question. I hope Your last name is not Sharpton or Jackson. The middle class has walked away with more of their paychecks in the last 8 years than they ever did under Clinton. Instead of trying to divide by race why not unite in nationalism. Get rid of both groups now in Washington and put some fresh faces in Congress and the White house. Why not start a third party with clout so all the old degenerates that now control congress could be tossed in the trash.

Boy you just did the Democratic party proud with that rant. All the misspelled words and run on sentences. The Democrats are the ones who voted in Pelosi and this new 'do nothing' congress. Who is blind now?

I must say as a Republican and a human being, I'm hurt.

Not to mention surprised
Abraham Lincoln, Booker T. Washington, Theodore Roosevelt, Thomas Edison, and Ronald Reagan, all evil and trying to destroy the poor, who knew?

I always suspected Theodore Roosevelt as trying to destroy the poor, you know creating all those jobs so the poor could join the field of middle-class. Or when Regean fixed Jimmy Carters mess by creating 16 million jobs.

You little girl, are short-sided, thoughtless, and irrational.

I had a fairly long answer but Y/A spell checker is a pain in the ***.

I will just say with the programs the Democrats are proposing compared to what conservatives want,

Give a man a fish feed him for a day (Democrat)

Teach a man to fish feed him for a lifetime ( Republican)

You would think that there would be more disgruntled conservatives like myself, but the people don't hear what Bush is up to from the mainstream media....especially fox news. It is as if the liberals are really in charge of the party and fox news, but they keep on claiming to be conservatives and good ol' boys.

Gee, I'm not a Republican. But, I do know this is the military site (not "sight") and I also know, when it comes to poor people that the Republican Committee in Denver runs the homeless shelter in that town and has done so since the early 1980s.
