depends on what he likes - what is a turn-on for one person might be another person's least favorite food. Figure out what he likes best, maybe something he doesn't get to have very often, then learn how to cook it - ask friends, read cook books - just the effort will mean a lot to your husband.

As a personal chef who has done the valentines dinner for two thing on a number of occasions. Barring hiring in someone to do it? Knowing what he likes is a start. Setting, mood, atmosphere is a biggy. The time is the next in line. You don't want him just in from work and all tired from whatever. Alcohol plays a big part next. Go figure! I have moved the food to the last of the interview question checklist that I use. Seems that with how playful the couple is and the overt flirting comes first. In a successful party of two at home meal the food comes in somewhere in the middle of the real priorities.

Ooh, just get some steaks or porkchops (i would prefer steaks). Now with the steak, just rub them down with steak seasoning. Sear them in skillet until golden brown. Put them in the oven on 350 to 400. Cook until you desire. Make baked potatoes, with the works(sour cream, green onions, etc) them satay some green beans in oil and garlic, yummy.

For appetizer, i'd go for some baby green salad with blue cheese, pecans, and rasberry vinnegrete. or try a nice chowder and crusty bread for dipping.

For desert, try chocolate dipped strawberries. or strawberry cheesecake.

It's also about the setting a mood of the room of where this will be taking place. And any wine will do.

Well at my house, nothing works better than throwing on my old cut-offs & hitting the deck for some grilling! Our favorite Saturday night special is thick cut rib-eyes, grilled medium/rare on the charcoal grill. Seasoned with just a sprinkle of Montreal steak seasoning - it is the best! We like to serve with a choice of grilled silver queen corn on the cob, grilled asparagus, fresh garden salad & homemade garlic bread!!

Best of all, there's not a huge mess to clean up & you get to enjoy cooking together!

It largely depends on what your enjoy eating, but I don't suppose you can go wrong with dishes that are supposedly aphrodisiacs.

Appetizers. Steamed oysters or oyster soup.

Cuts of warm French Bread with a small bowl of olive oil.

Main dish: Slices of roast beef with au-jus and horseradish sauce, cooked carrots in a butter sauce, baked potatoes with butter, sour cream, chives, and bacon bits, and fruit cocktail.

Dessert: A selection of chocolates

Serve with wine, candle light, and low volume classical music, and break out the tablecloths, good china, and real cloth napkins.

make vodka pasta for him. as he takes 1 bite you take off a piece of your clothing teasingly.

1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil, once around the pan in a slow stream
1 teaspoon butter
1 clove garlic, minced
2 shallots, minced
1/2 cup vodka
1/2 cup chicken stock
1/2 can crushed tomatoes (16 ounces)
Coarse salt and pepper
8 ounces pasta, such as penne rigate
1/4 cup heavy cream
10 leaves fresh basil, shredded or torn

Crusty bread, for passing

Heat a large skillet over moderate heat. Add oil, butter, garlic, and shallots. Gently saute shallots for 3 to 5 minutes to develop their sweetness. Add vodka to the pan, 3 turns around the pan in a steady stream will equal about 1/2 cup. Reduce vodka by half, this will take 2 or 3 minutes. Add chicken stock, tomatoes. Bring sauce to a bubble and reduce heat to simmer. Season with salt and pepper.

While sauce simmers, cook pasta in salted boiling water until cooked to al dente (with a bite to it). While pasta cooks, prepare your salad or other side dishes.

Stir cream into sauce. When sauce returns to a bubble, remove it from heat. Drain pasta. Toss hot pasta with sauce and basil leaves. Pass pasta with crusty bread.
