Ha! That was funny, the person that said that she has to smell like curry, and have large dowry.

5. When her father has a big dowery and invites me to marry her.

You can't make him fall in love with you. Be yourself and he might, if given the opportunity, fall in love with you. But, there are so many cultural differences and prejudices that you both would have to overcome. I wish you well in any case. Good luck!

I'm a 100% Indian guy... there are a lot of things I like in a girl.
But # 1 is that she can not ignore me... when I want to say something, I want her to listen... and I want do the same when she says something.
Compliment him... on his looks.
You gotta have long hair lol, white teeth, and this is going to sound racially inappropriate.
Shallow? Yes
Effective? Yes
But most Indians are raised to like only Indians, or go more towards Caucasians.
Don't ask me why, thats just how our parents want us to be.

You got to be an indian women....
Our nature and culture are all blend in together on how we treat a man.... we dont treat our man like a king.... but a child and show him the love like wise....
Most indian man idealise a wife who will love them like their mother....And the rest falls in place.
I totally agree with totallymist,,, she is right... indian guy can sleep with 1000 woman.... c lub with any chick and screw them and whatever it maybe at the end of the day they only want to marry an indian woman cos they think thats what suit their life and their family and the values they want their kids to have and most importantly...
Marrying an indian is marrying his family ... not just him alone...

I am Hungarian\American, but I don't have any different preferences to what makes a girl like me then anybody else. I am sure its the same with Idian people. Look pretty, be nice, be caring, and you are all set. You don't have to look drop dead gorgeous, just don't look like a slob. Tell him that you like him.. that allways works =)
