we know we evolved, well some of us who are not committed to bronze age myths know it. whether we were meant to know it or not is irrelevant. perhaps god set up all the dominoes and gave them a push, who could tell? i don't think that part matters, for sure.
it matters because medical research often benefits from insights from evolutionary theory - for instance there would be no point in testing drugs on animals if it was not known that the biochemistry is going to be similar because humans are more or less closely related to certain animals.

Listen to yourself. On the one hand, you're saying it's a waste of time to study how the world works. On the other hand, you're telling us to cure diseases.
Well, guess what? Cures come from research and understanding of how the world works.

Evolutionary theory is actually pretty important in terms of finding cures for diseases like cancer and AIDS so it's crucial that we have as accurate a theory as possible. That's why we need to debate it: to discover which parts of the theory are problematic and excise them.
As for debating God, that's just fun for me.

Well, those scientists that I mentioned. The ones who don't believe in creationism? They are trying to find a cure for cancer... amongst other things.

I don't understand what all the debate is about.
If we accept God as the Creator of all, including life,
does it matter if evolution was the method which was used?

You are right.
There is a lot of money being spent trying to prove the theory of evolution to be anything more than a theory.
I don't know of any churches that are spending any money to disprove that opinion of man. We spend our time, money and efforts in the church to proclaim God as He has said He is.
Those in the secular world should be concerned about the physical well-being of man rather than some "belief system" like evolution.

We were meant to know, because the inspired words describing how it all happened were revealed by God to prophets, Apostles & other men of God. It says in the Bible that God created the heavens & the earth.

If we were "not meant to know", then we wouldn't see so much evidence of evolution. There's no "debate" whether or not evolution happened, just the specific mechanics of it.
