in it Jesus says he is the Christ but NOT the Messiah... go figure???? they are the same thing

The Gospel of Barnabas is promoted by Muslims as an original Gospel written by the man named Barnabas [1] who it is claimed was a disciple of Jesus (p. 2). Thus they claim it was written by a Jewish man in the 1st century A.D. who travelled with Jesus. If Barnabas really is the author then it is reasonable to expect that he would be familiar with the basic facts of Jewish life at this time. We will now consider this book to see if he does.

a/ Christ. The word (Christ) is the Greek translation for the Hebrew word (Messiah). Both these words when translated into English mean the Anointed One or the Chosen One. This word is not an obscure or rarely used word, on the contrary it is one of the most famous words in the Jewish and Christian religions. There is no doubt that a religious Jew like Barnabas would have been very familiar with this

There was no Gospel of Barnabas. The "muslims" made it up. Their "Gospel of Jesus" is even more absurd. The one that only "mohammed" has ever actually seen.

That is not what Barnabas says. In Fact, the only reason it was excluded as Canonical was because it referenced "lands beyond the seas".... which we now know do exist, but Church leaders of the time found unbelievable.

For a good period of time it was read during Christian meetings and held as reliable as other writings. It does not promote Islam in any way.

I just took a look at the website you linked to and it does not even come close to describing the true apocryphal Book named for Barnabas. Another bogus attempt to bring down Christ and Christianity. Barnabas was a fellow preacher and companion of the Apostle Paul. He is mentioned by name in the Book of Acts. He did have writings as old as most other scripture and older than the Book of Jude. What you have read and are promoting as his writing is a lie.

You can vilify the translators as much as you want, but that has nothing to do with the words of Barnabas. Barnabas was accepted by Clemens and many ancient Fathers. It was accepted at Alexandria as a canonical scripture. That it was thrown out of the Bible does not prove anything. Various Sects of Christianity are still throwing things out of the Bible.

The supposed Gospel of Barnabus was purported to be a depiction of the life of Jesus by His disciple Barnabus. Some Islamic organizations cite it in support of the Islamic view of Jesus. The Islamic view of Jesus is that He is a prophet, and no more than a precursor to Mohammed.
These are all reasons why this writing was not included in the Bible scriptures, because they were not considered to be Divinely inspired. Barnabus helped the Apostle Paul, was a believer of Jesus Christ, but he wasn't one of the twelve Disciples Jesus chose to actually go with Him where He went , teaching & preaching.

You can get old looking up all the cut-and-paste changes Muslims have made to the Bible. Just a couple: They say God commanded Abraham to sacrifice Ishmael on a mountain; the Bible says it was Isaac. They say Ishmael's mother Hagar was Abraham's wife; the Bible says she was Abraham's wife's Egyptian servant given to Abraham to have a child. They say Jesus never died on the cross; the Romans were compulsive record keepers and Jesus of Nazareth died on that cross. Here's a rule of thumb you can use when dealing with Muslims over the Bible - whatever they say, just turn it around 180 and that's probably the truth.

This is too heavy for me, even if i understood what the question was, I'm going to bed.
Can you not understand that the bible is a collection of stories i.e. folk tales from many different sources, written by many different people, written between 400 to 800 years AD? rather like Grimms fairy tales, but not as realistic?
IT'S FICTION!!!
