can i use a sony AC adapter that has 8.4V 1.7A for a 8.4V 1.5A Sony camcorder??

i have an AC adapter that has 8.4V 1.7A

but i want to use it on a camcorder that takes 8.4V 1.5A... is it ok?

what is the difference?

you need to be very sure that the dc polarity at the plug is the same, some models are wired reverse. otherwise the specs look ok.
