Islam is a religion, like Christianity. Religions are powerful "memes" - mind virus that cloud the mind and short-circuit rational thought. Religions that cause their followers to try to impose irrational/restrictive behavior on others or advocate killing of non-believers are "toxic-memes". Christianity and Islam both fall into this category. Humanity would be much better off without them.

Wow, I can't believe some of these answers... Why do people need to bash anything they don't believe in.
Well, I don't know enough about Islam to say what it means to me. However, I know it doesn't stand for hatred and death.
No religion stands for that. I know in some ways it's similar to Christianity, and contrary to what some people may think, it only has good things to say about Jesus.
