What breed is Big Red the dog in the movie "Big Red"? It came put in 1970 I think and its a red dog (a duh) and I'll like to konw the breed of it.

An Irish setter. I have one, her name is Scarlet and she is the best. She is sooo pretty but like someone else said, she is hard to groom.

It's an Irish Setter. They are beautiful dogs, but require a bit of maintenance on that pretty red coat.
