I'm neither Christian nor a witch, but I know that there aren't many (if any) Christian Witches here, so here are some websites about the religion for you. It's basically just what it sounds like, people who consider themselves Christian but who use pagan methods of worship. They often also pay more attention to what they see as the feminine side of the deity, which is not considered at all in Christianity but is quite important in most pagan faiths.

Witches were never a real threat to christians. It was the early christian church who claimed that they were evil so that pagans would come over to christianity. This of course enabled such people as Mathew Hopkins to make money out of the situation. today there are people in parts of Africa doing the same thing. One point we never burnt witches in England the punishment for being a witch was hanging. Burning was for heresy.

I am not a christian witch but i have a few friends who are. I cant fully explain it but ill tell what i do know. They accept the One God and Jesus being the savior stuff, but they also tend to believe in a sort of lesser god that is present in the world that is more in touch with the humans. I think that they also recognise a goddess as being there with god. I'm sorry that i cant really explain it, one of my friends told me of it and didnt have long to explain it, but you can check out some nations in europe if your visiting over there, the farther east you go such as poland and norway, sweden, some parts of germany etc.. have actual churches for christians who are also wiccans. When i find out more, ill tell you. Until then good luck.

They believe in witchcraft and Christianity. Witchcraft isn't particular to any religion. Christian witches usually view their spells as stylized and more focused prayers. They still believe in the Christian god and Jesus and the Bible. They ask their god to make the spell work like prayers. Many common Christians think this is evil, but Christian witches understand that it is simpy a higher form of prayer.

A woman i know is an "Episcopagan" who believes that she can reconcile her Wiccan practices and her "take on Christianity". This woman is a pantheist and believes that monotheism and polytheism(the varied aspects of the divine)are compatible, especially if one takes a"mystical and life-affirming approach".
My friend enjoys both neo-pagan rituals and High Church Anglican rituals(as well as Hindu and rituals from otherreligious traditions). She thinks that Christianity needs to embrace the "feminine side of divinity" and needs to"get away from the Old Testament narrowness.'. She sees (white)spell-casting as an expression of prayer.

I myself think that Christianity is more than rich enough in its own theology, mysticism, liturgy and traditions for me or any Christian.
Does syncretism really respect the unique heritages of the World Religions?

I am a born again Christian with no ties to witchcraft but, I was once a practitioner of witchcraft (earth based, lady/lord, god/goddess sort, not the oogie boogie Hollywood “The Craft” hocus pokus type).

We believed that most of our “spells” were nothing more than animated purpose driven prayers to the lady and the lord of the Earth.

Many traditions in the Catholic Church specifically draw from pagan rituals acquired from the people of the lands.

Through personal research during that time I came to the conclusion that the focus of the church on mother Mary was a way to draw in the pagans who related to a feminine aspect of deity. Jesus was Lord and Mary was Lady.

That’s about all I have, hope it helps!

My version of Christian Witchcraft is being a follower of Christ yet a child of Mother Earth. I really do not see a conflict with the faiths when you take into account that we, as well as all the forces of Nature, were created by the Divine and because I view the Divine as the Supreme Being from the Christian perspective I have no problems labeling myself as a Christian Witch.

I believe in the magical properties of all created matter and see a sacred connection from everything that surrounds me from living to non living entities. The Christian twist to my Shamanistic tendencies is that although everything is sacred, it is not above the God that created it.

I am no longer a full practicing witch since I am trying to concentrate solely on the Christian aspect of my life however when I practiced Witchcraft I was not concerned about engaging in the Magical/Spiritual practice of my faith for the following reasons:

I believe that our Divine has granted us physical as well as spiritual gifts to use and develop at will as long as it is in His honor. I was blessed with athletic abilities and I am an avid cyclist that can travel up to 215 mile in less than a 24 hour period. I have the ability to hold my breath underwater for up to 5 minutes with no problems and feel very fortunate to develop the physical talents I was blessed with. I was also blessed with spiritual gifts as well, being able to detect spiritual entities, travel to the Spiritual world through meditation/circle casting, as well as having the ability to slightly bend my fate in dangerous situations I sometimes end up in.

The magical practices I engaged in coupled with the spiritual observations, divination readings, and celebrations of all the sacred entities that were around me did not concern me what some Christians believe is a conflict with God's instructions simply because that everything I engaged in did not separate me from God, but drew me in closer to Him. I was blessed to see the behind scenes workings of a great Creator that had such complexity and beauty which caused me to be in Awe of Him once my Spiritual Eyes were opened!

There are many versions of Christian Witchcraft faiths and it has fragmented into many different disciplines over the years, I happen to be an individual that holds a more traditional view of what most Christians believe in what God is and the reason why Jesus was needed for us to restore the relationship back with our Divine Creator if we so choose to do so.

Some people do not believe Christian Witchcraft is possible but for me I have no problems with it and only hope people can come to terms with the faith without being offended. To this date I never met a Christian Witch whose agenda was to antagonize anyone, they simply want to practice their faith in peace and hope that people of all faiths can have tolerance, love and understanding with each other, regardless of the religious views they practice or refrain from. Blessings and thanks for your question!

From what I understand they believe in God and Jesus and they believe in the magic and blessings that God gave them. I know its not in depth but to be honest they are VERY rare and I'm not sure we have any.

Listen sister, Christian witch is an oxymoron. No Christian can be a witch and serve God at the same time.

That's sort of an oxy-moron, no? How could you be a Christian Witch? The 2 contradict each other.
