my new dentist's lab is taking
forever to do them and they are not doing a good job. I mentioned to my dentist that I was not happy with their work and that I might want to go with a new lab, and he said then we would have to pay two labs. I cannot afford to pay anymore for this I have already paid over $1000. What can I tell my dentist? I am not happy with the work this lab is doing. I have had the temporaries in my mouth for over a month. I want a good job done this time and I don't want to settle for less than what I am happy with. Any suggestions?

You don't state what you're not happy with so it's hard to advise you on this. If the shade or contour isn't matching the other teeth then the doctor needs to have someone from the lab come to the office [hopefully their not using a mail order lab. in India!] while you are in the chair and get this straightened out. It's up to the doctor to get this right but believe me 2 front crowns are some of the most difficult dental procedures. Two front crowns should cost at least $1,800 total so I'm hoping that your insurance is paying for some to have the total be $1000 'cause, if not, then I worry about what you are getting.
