I am because of my religion, and I really feel like I'm all alone. Is anyone else choosing to stay a virgin until marriage? If so, why? And if not, why? Only serious answers please.

Nah, it's kinda late for that. Besides, I would now be a 27 year old virgin. That's depressing. I'm guessing you're still in your teens? Here's a hint - better to put off marriage than put off sex.

I Really Think You should 1st take a Test Spin, You Might not Like the Ride, You may be Stuck with an Auto that Lacks in Horsepower, Torque, Performance of Handling, may be a Real Lemon.... I have not chosen that. I would have more respect for your decision if it spawned from a secular perspective. Think of all the good, lecherous experiences you will have probably missed out on. Of course, you may have chosen to enjoy your sexuality these past years, while maintaining your virginity, if you know what I mean. I don't get many chicks AT ALL and it sucks a lot! On the other hand, by staying abstinent one doesn't have to worry about pregnancy or STD. Plus, maybe you are more into the personality of people, rather than how they look. I have not chosen to abstain, but I have terrible social skills, low confidence, and generalized apathy. Praise Jesus for Internet porn!

Find a girl who wishes to remain abstinent also. Sex outside of marriage is common but very unfortunate. Whenever you have sex with someone you are creating soul ties and when you marry you will always have that soul tie with whoever you slept with and not just with your significant other. If you remain abstinent it will be all the more special in your marriage.

I am waiting as well. It is something that's important to me. I'm getting married in October, to my fiance who is also waiting for marriage.

Sometimes it feels like people think we're strange for waiting. We've been dating since we were 13. We just bought a house together and are living together... but still waiting. It's what is right for us, even if it is not common or popular.

Edit: Why would I get a thumbs down for waiting until I'm married to have sex? This is what it wrong with people now.

I'm not trying to go all the way to marriage, but I'm still a virgin now at 33, so it looks like it may end up that way. I don't believe that you necessarily have to be married before you have sex for the first time.

no, but i am waiting to find somebody that i am in love with, (but only because past experiences have left me afraid of people) i think that is more important than marriage. i don't believe in god so that is not an issue.
i think that it is natural, and there is nothing wrong with it, it is just a modern concept staying that way until marriage.

I didn't, but regret it. I would have done anything to be a virgin when I met my first love. I think we would have stayed together. Now I'm in arraige of convenience. I think not being a virgin makes it impossible for you to meet your true soul mate.

I believe all the women I've ever met have been choosing it for me

Seriously though, if you're choosing to stay a virgin, Kudos! I honestly didn't think there were any female virgins left in the US. It's a tough road, and I wish you well

The only reason left for someone not to loose their virginity in America are religious/moral ones, STDs and pregnancy can be avoided with a proper use of both birth control/condom, men don't usually care (if they love you, they accept you as is) and many prefer someone whos somewhere between rookie and seasoned veteren.

No, I lost my virginity a long time ago. I think waiting for marriage is a bad idea. If you're not sexually compatible with your partner (maybe he likes BJs and you hate giving them) it'll cause problems in the future. I think testing the waters is a good idea before the big plunge.

I did actually I was 20 when I got married. It really had nothing to do with religion at all it was just a personal choice. It was also nice to find a husband that respected and loved me enough to stick it through. I've been married for 10 and a half years it was worth it.

no religion
