I am not a JW but I agree with some of their objections to pagan traditions that are done in the name of Christ such as the Easter bunny and eggs, Christmas tress etc. After all how would erecting a statue of Baal in your church glorify what Jesus did for us?

Well any religion that follows a certain belief system, clearly wouldn't celebrate holidays that go against those beliefs. Case in point, as Christians we Witnesses don't celebrate Christmas, so presumably people who wish to follow the Bible probably wouldn't either.
