If you discipline the dog after he has peed in the house it will do nothing but make him fearful. There are two things you can do. First, when your dog pees outside in front of you, praise him, so he knows that peeing outside is something that is good. Second, if you catch him in the middle of peeing inside (literally, he can not have vinished, it must be peeing at that moment), you can scold him. Do not get violent, or physically punish him. Simply yell a "no." (If that is the word you use to scold him). You can be a bit gruff but remain calm. Then immediately take him outside and wait until he pees so you can praise him for peeing outside. You just need to increase his understanding that outside I get praised for this, inside I get scolded. But, again, never punish him if you do not catch him in the middle of the act. Good luck!

You need to figure out why he's doing it. Is he a puppy? You may need to take him out and show him the doggy door many times. Discipline is not a good idea. Praise him when he does his buisness. Take a look online and get some hints, but DON'T hit or rub his nose in it. It won't work. Because dogs noses are so sensitive if you rub their nose in it, it can actually cause damage (very rare but it can happen) It is also Gross!! Would you do that to your child if they pooped on the floor? Or would you hit or spank them? If you would then you are a horriable person who I would hope never has kids. The person right above me had a great answer. Spanking will make them scared of you and can eventually make them aggressive.

You praise good behavior and correct bad behavior, you never discipline. In order to correct this behavior you have to actually catch the dog in the act. When you see the dog peeing you pick it up and carry it outside while giving a command such as, "potty outside". This is the only way the dog will learn.

well, every mornig take it to a walk. it will pee in the house for a week. then it will get used to it. If it doesn't then.
Buy training dog treats. take it on a walk with the treats. and if it pee's give it a treat. And if it doesn't don't give it a treat.
make sure you take it to the bathroom twice a day.

if he can't go out when your not home then it's not his fault. you can't get mad at him if he needs to go when your not home. you need to cage him for the time your gone and then let him out when you get home.

Rub his nose in it and spank him. That's what I did with mine and eventually they stop doing it.
