In a way it is and it a way it isn't. Porcelain dolls are pretty, detailed, and very delicate. If someone just seens you mainly as a doll it is a disadvantage because they are not seeing the person that you really are. Maybe you are not expressing yourself enough and just relying on your pretty face. Get to know yourself and express it. People age so it's better to rely on personality and not looks. Don't let people see you as a Dolly. It sucks. You'll be treated as an object and you'll suffer.

Depends on their body language and how they said it, and what they were comparing exactly. For example, if they were comparing the whitness of your skin, probably not a compliment, but if they were comparing how perfect your features were, then yes it would be a compliment. Remember, only 10% of what you say is in your words, the rest is your body language, and how you say it.

it depends on whether you or whomever it is being said to considers it a compliment. it's not universal. i would never say that to a girl. it's unlikely to accomplish anything. it's a very risky compliment.
most of the time it's probably not a compliment even though it could be intended as such. sometimes it is just a statement of fact.

It obviously depends on the context, but for the greater part it is used as a compliment. It means you look idealisitic, or too perfect maybe.

No. It means that they aren't taking you seriously, to compare you to a piece of decorative toy-ware. You're so delicate and cute, but not something that gets touched or played with.
Not a compliment at all. It's condescending in the extreme.

Not really,
Yes it is a complement if it was in regards to your look, nothing wrong with beauty.
But... if it have to do with the comparison to an object used only for decoration, no brain........
or just make to be play with it. like somebody else said it depends how it was said and the body language.
is not what you said , but how you said it.
