To clean it you should use a saline solution. You can take about a half cup of water and heat it up to bath temperature in your microwave. Stir in 1/8 tsp of non iodized sea salt and mix it into the water until it is dissolved. Then wash your hands with antibacterial soap and soak a cotton ball or a folded up paper towel in the water. Use the cotton ball to soak your piercing for about 3 minutes. Then take a q tip and remove any crusties that are around the piercing. You can also take a q tip dipped in the salt water to clean the inside part of your nose.

When you take a shower nothing is going to really happen. Nothing to freak out over.

You have to wait longer than 4 weeks to change your jewelry. Nose piercings can take as little as 3 months to heal, but can also take longer. To be on the safe side I'd say you should wait until at least 2-3 months, although waiting longer is best because you're piercing likely won't be healed in such a short amount of time.

Changing the jewelry while the piercing is still healing can cause bad bacteria and particles to enter your piercing and can result in infection. Also screwing around with the jewelry while changing it, or just playing with the jewelry in general will irritate the piercing. You should leave it alone for the first 3 months if you want to lessen the chances of your nose getting screwed up.

I remember at around 6 weeks I tried changing the jewelry (bad idea) but it hurt too much trying to get the jewelry out, so I left it alone. Screwing with your piercing too much or trying to get the hang of changing jewelry too early on might lead to migration or rejection. It was tough for me to figure out how to get the jewelry out so if you constantly wiggle the jewelry around, push at it, pull at it, it could end up turning into something nasty.

Also, NEVER use alcohol or ointments for your piercing. That's a huge no no. Also don't remove the jewelry when you clean it.

Changing Nose Piercing

First off, never use rubbing alcohol or ointments on piercings. Alcohol will dry it out & ointments can attract particles and germs.
The best thing to do would be to get a saline solution for contacts for sensitive eyes. Its only about $3 at Walmart but make sure to get the sensitive eyes kind. Clean it twice a day with a cotton swab, inside and out.

I can't even express how wrong all these answers are it takes 5/6 months for any type of cartilage piercing to fully heal cleaning twice a day with sea salt and warm water and not fiddling or removing it :)

my piercing is fine but I had to change my piercing after 2 weeks because the piercer gave me a jewelry that came out of my nose to much and the diamond feel off of it. So I bought on smaller and it looks fine

They say a month, but when i had mine i took it out in a little over a month and i couldn't get it back in. I would wait a little longer maybe about 2 or 3 months.

clean around carefull not to knock it out if it a sm stud. i recommend hook nose studs are longer so they curve more on the inside less likely to knock outwhile having to mess with them to clean them. on changing it i gave mine 5 days cuz itsrated to bleed the first day while pulling it close to coming out to clesn it dnt worry get back up studs now in case u lose one they are fast to close w/in the first 6months.
ps wen ever it might come out or ur changing plug the sink drain first

Change it afyer three weeks not three days. And clean it with soap amd water around it for five days. Dont take it out to clean it only after three or four weeks. It will hurt like hell ! trust me. I tryed to move it. On the fourth day to clean it and i cried 😂 but the first three days its kinda numb. But the fith it hurt.
