I guess it kind of depends on where I am and what my mood is. I just went to Maloney's in San Diego's Gaslamp District for the first time and loved it. If I feel like dancing I enjoy The Vogue in Indianapolis (but it takes a certain mood to brave the *** gropers and crowd)
However, i think my all time favorite is Howl at the Moon. They have locations all over, but I have only been to the one in Indianapolis. I celebrated my birthday there this past year and it's a great time. The 86oz Buckets of Booze make for a memorable evening that's for sure. Check out the website (http://www.howlatthemoon.com/) for more information, including locations, it's worth finding one to go to. It's a bar experience like none other!

Shag's in Cedar Falls, IA back when I was in my 20's. Lots of dance music, but as I got older the 19 year olds got younger. Then there was Joker's. That was older rock and roll and more my age group. And they had comedy nights. Randall's was cool for a place to just hang out and meet friends and have a few drinks, it was a podunk bar.
So they were all good in their own way, I had a lot of fun at all of them.
