I am 20 but want to start playing for real money. I dont want to spend alot of money, but i will play very small tournaments and very small blinds like $.05.
If i can play, does anyone have experience with transfering money into the pokerstars account by using visa. I heard i cant cashout with visa, so how exactly do i get money back from pokerstars if i use visa.
How safe is pokerstars in the sense that i am putting my visa card online, how do i know it wont be used the wrong way?
Thanks for the advice

Pokerstars is NOT a gambling website - so you CANNOT play for REAL money ;););)

These online sites like fulltiltpoker and pokerstars allow you to gamble at age 18. For transferring money the best thing to use is epassporte. Pokerstars is one of the most famous websites and if your visa card was being used wrongly you probaly arent the only one. However, no one has reported it yet and it is a booming site. Therefore the chances of your visa (im recommeding epassporte) being used wrongly is almost 0%. The easiest way to cashout is probaly by check which they will mail you (i think minimum deposit is 50 usd)

Now all about your .05 stakes. Make sure you deposit at least 50 dollars before you play these stakes. A rule about your bankroll is to only play with 5-10% stack every game. You should also buyin for the full amount which is 5 dollars. (5x10=50 therefore you should start with 50 dollars). This is a good rule because even the best players run into reeally bad luck.

Gl at pokerstars!

It's not illegal to lie about you age to a poker site. It's not even illegal to play for real money, since there are no laws in the US regulated online poker. If you tell them you are someone else (who is a real person), that is a crime, and if you give them someone else's ID or make a fake ID to try and prove you false age, that is a crime.

Playing online poker for real money has been banned in the US. There are ways to get around it, but I don't know them. Just keep taking money at your home games then hit the casino when you're 21.
