I will soon be a Showband Musician on a Carnival Cruise and have been trying to find out what the rates are for Internet use on the ship. Also, do you know if the internet is limited to the internet cafes onboard, or can it be accessed through a wireless network?

ask to speak to some employees of the carnival cruise ship you are going to. they can give you up to date info. I m sure carnival wouldn't mind that. Have a great time.

The new ships have wireless.
In my time with Carnival (I left in 2002) it was 0,25c a minute and you only had that price when using it from the crew internet room, next to the crew bar.
Even though I could use pax areas as a purser, my internet card didnt work on the crew computers.
if it was 0,25 in 2002, should be cheaper now...
Still for internet junkies it was hard.
It was digital seas back then, which is a card you buy for 20bucks, scratch the password, thats it.
On other ships, after carnival, i even had internet on the cabin...
and in my office... that was cool.
Good luck
What ship are you going?
