I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!!!!!!!!!! Everyday, I look around and it looks like I did NOTHING. I have an 18 month and a husband who never picks up after himself no matter how much I beg and plead. I wonder how bad it would look if I really DID do nothing. It drives me nuts, too!! It is like those Whack-A-Moles: as soon as you get one mess knocked out, another one pops right up. And, no, you can never win. It is an endless game. . .! lol :D

A woman's work is never done!! Just do what I do, imagine a day when they're all grown and you're sitting on your white sofa that's on your white carpet. The house is quiet. It's also spotless. There's a gentle breeze blowing, you're totally at peace. Then the doorbell rings and 12 grandchildren pop into the house! Ahhhhhhh
Fun clean up game for a two year old. Get a flashlight. Or a laser pointer in the day time. Whatever the light hits gets put away. My kids love this (even the older ones though it gets competitive and slightly dangerous with four kids- it's funny to see them RACE to get a toy to put away...such a change) Maybe they'll keep the war zone down a little....good luck :)

Don't worry..you're definitely not alone. I think every mother in the world goes through this every day...I know I certainly do. What drives me nuts the most is how my son's "spill-proof" sippy cup seems to leak juice all over the tiles (he actually shakes it so hard, that's why) & then it dries & I only find out because my feet stick to the floor...ha ha. But seriously though, I just tidy up a little throughout the day & do a good clean-up after everyone goes to bed so then I can sit back & enjoy it for a few hours. I just started trying to make a game out of "clean-up" time but my son doesn't participate yet, just watches. He does have a fasicnation with picking up crumbs (he calls them "ca ca") & giving them to me (I make it a big deal) so maybe that's a start!

I don't know, but I have 6 kids (2-13) and my house is a disaster almost all of the time. Sometimes my husband comes home, looks around at the mess and asks me what I did all day. I tell him I shoveled snow in a blizzard. That's what it feels like!! As soon as I get one thing done, I turn around and there's another mess.

I know exactly what you are talking about.. I just complaining to my best friend about the same thing. It is like I NEVER get finished with anything because when I do I have to start over.. I have started taking toys to his room slowly and hoping that not so many will end up in my living room floor.. and cleaning up last for about 5 minutes.. ha ha.. I guess it is just one of those things we will have to get use to.. It sure is taking lots of time though

Does your child have too many things within reach to play with? Put some of them up for a few weeks, then switch out toys.

You could also have stopping times when everyone has to put away so many toys. I know the 1. take something out 2. put it back 3. get something else system is better but I can't even do that one myself.

because thats the life of a mother :) clean the kitchen and they are thorwing supper on the floor half hour later LOL... pick up stuff and look back and they are following you throwing it down again.. but think about the lovely things in your life and not the mess becasue for sure i won't judge you about a mess till the kids in school

:)

Yup, that's my life everyday. I constantly clean. They drop food or spill drinks and i have to steam clean again and again. (to stop flies from leaving larvae and bugs forming) creeps me out!
I sit them at the table to eat they smush their foods into the table. My 3y/o just learned that if you wet toilet paper it will stick to walls, lovely!!!
I hoover, they find somehting to rip up and toss over the carpet, i polish, they drool purposly on the furniture, it goes on and on and on lol

It's time to teach them how to pick up their own toys. My son loves to put change in his piggy bank, so I keep change in my pocket and I tell him when he is done picking up his toys he can have the change for his bank. He has like $50 in it now.
