My hair is so dry. We have a pool so I go swimming almost everyday. I know the chlorine doesn't help. I don't blow dry hair a lot, I let it air dry. I straighten it every once in a while but not that much. I get it cut regularly. I use Treseme(think that's how it's spelled) frizz control spray and a VO5 heat protectant. I heard mayonaise helps but I don't know. Please help.

after you go in the pool, take some conditioner and rub into your hair. i do this all the time, and my hair doesnt get dry anymore from the cholorine!
air-drying your hair is veryy good, keep doing that. your hair should be pretty healthy when you do this, along with other things.
when you straighten your hair, put some straightening creme/heat proctectant into your hair before straightening it. this protects your hair from the heat damage it recieves from the straighteners. i do this also!
the frizz control spray is good to use, but only when necessary. dont over use it! your hair will be dry.

another thing to do is to choose the right shampoo & conditioner for you. i would reccomend Dove Intense Damage Control (i'm pretty sure thats what its called). it gives your hair back the moisture it needs!

i really hope i helped. good luck! =]

I actually have the EXACT same dillema as you... everything from the pool to the straightening sometimes to letting it dry on its own... im the same as you...

dont do mayonaise... thats just people who dont know what theyre saying and are trying to make you smell bad because they think its funny

instead, theres a few options:
1) Dont use any product, go Au Natural for a few days and dont wash your hair. this will stimulate your natural hair oils to come out and make hair much nicer

2) Purchase a hair mask. Try the Body Shop line.

3) When showering your hair, only rince out 80-90% of conditioner. this will prevent frizzyness, dryness, and will keep you smelling delicious all through out the day.

There is a product by Clairol thats called Jazzing it comes in clear and you put it on your hair as if its a tint, it has no peroxide and no ammonia, it is semi- permanent which means that it washes out . You apply it and put a plastic cap over your head and sit under heat or sun or blow dryer for 20 minutes or so. It is like a plastic coating over your hair.
( protecting it from whatever you put your hair through. Also adding a shine to it.
Hope this helps.

deep conditioner usually helps. i use pantene.
let it sit your hair for 30 min or if you have a hooded dryer, on a warm try sitting under that for about 10 to 20 min. if not, consult your stylist.
good luck with it!
