I've just been chatting to a colleague with regard to this and we have had quite and interesting debate amongst ourselves. Your body can only react to a situation that it has never encountered before by using two possibly schools of thought. The first and generally most believed, is that your body would respond to how your mind may perceive the appropriate reaction to be. We can take spin2021's answer to explain this. What spin says is that when he is shot he plays dead. This is how he envisages the scenario, there are a lot of possible outcomes to this - he could just die or perhaps go into a state of shock and arrest or even try to wrestle with the attacker. The truth with spins answer is we only know what he supposes from what ideas he has acquired through his life, as in reality it has never happened to him and until it does we can't say for certain. The second is our built in reaction to fight or flee. Staying with spin for the moment his built in reaction on being attacked is to flee the situation. He does this by playing dead. So it is possible that if you were to encounter a situation in a dream that you had never had experience of, your mind may try to trigger an automatic response that it thinks is appropriate.
So to recap, if you dream you are experiencing a situation that you have never had whilst awake, it really isn't any different to simply consciously imagining it. All your body can do is perhaps imagine the most appropriate reaction from your perception of this scenario. Just out of interest how many times do we act quite illogically to something quite normal in our dreams. Perhaps, for example you are running in a dream but not moving.
As for your orgasm, this is an automatic in-built bodily reaction. When the appropriate muscles are triggered to spasm you will always orgasm. Now your paralysis, we can re -look at the fight or flee theory for that!

According to Dreamcrowd:
To dream that you are scared, indicates that you are experiencing self-doubt and feelings of incompetence. You may be feeling a lack of control. Anger often masquerades as fear, so also consider issues about which you are angry about in your waking life.

Yes, it can! I remember I was half awake when I was laying on my stomach. I was sorta dreaming that I was jumping from one table to another, and my leg actually kicked against the bed. Naturally, this woke me up with a trance.
