Bless you, and no it's not absurd. She may be content to remain an out door cat, only time will tell. Just do as you are doing and keep her healthy, maybe someone will come along and want to adopt her eventually. If things get rough and she seems frightened or threatened by other animals you might have to look into a shelter. Most communities have, "no kill," shelters, they keep the animals until they can be adopted. In the meantime I wish you the best, your doing the right thing.

If he's willing to come indoors, I don't see why not. Have the vet check him over (use a cat carrier to transport him so you don't have trouble), and consider him yours. Strays make very good pets if you take into account that they've had a hard life prior to you and may need to adjust a bit to indoor living.

We make sure to put a collar on all our cats so that people can tell that they are ours. A flea collar is cheap from the store and a good way to tell that a cat is owned, after all who else would bother to put a collar on a cat?
this may be one way to verify that he isnt owned by anyone else and of letting people know that you are taking ownership of him

Sure adopt it! it will be great to have a pet you love. Take it to the vet first for a check-up to make sure it doesn't have any disease. When i mean adopt just take it to your house because its a stray.

He's adopted you. And you've named him, so I think he's got his paws under the table... If you want to keep him, first get him checked for microchip -- if he has one, then he is owned and you really should find out if his owners want him. If there's no chip, and the local rescues don't have him on a lost& found register, then get him to the vet, get him vaccinated anf neutered, and enjoy the love he'll give you!

You are kind, and cats get the vibe.
They tell their other cat friends, and your house is a kitty haven or sanctuary.
God bless and decide to love em' anyways.

sounds like you already adopted him/her...
but if you want to let it into your house, try to get it to a vet for a thorough check-up first.
