Keep your heel back on the floor, and don't use the ball of your foot to press the gas or the brake. Instead, use light steady pressure on the accelerator with just your toes (as if you had a peeled, hard boiled egg under the accelerator and didn't want to break it). Hold your foot at the same pressure. Focus on your position in relation to vehicles in front, to the sides, and behind you. You should be maintaining a steady speed this way. Of course you will glance at your speedometer from time to time as part of your scanning pattern. Everyone experiences this when beginning to drive, so focus, relax and you will pick up the skills as you drive.

When driving, your eyes should be constantly moving. You should be checking your speed and other gages as well as your mirrors about every 10-20 seconds and still be watching where you are going. Learn to check your speed with just a glance and make needed adjustments.

ok to go slower don't take ur foot off the pedal just lift it slightly if u want to slow down just a lil now lift ur foot off the pedal a lil more if u want to slow down faster and break if u want to stop of course. and to go fast try not to go exactly when they tell u to just press is slightly it's all in the foot and practice makes perfect. when ur barley starting to drive u get nervous and u shake a lil bit but soon u will be able to look in the mirrors speedometer and more. have fun don't crash.

Just hold the accelerator all the way to the floor all the time.

if you can rest the side of your foot against the console or something (just lightly) it will help you regulate yourself a little better.. other than that.. get a car with cruise control.

try getting a car with cruise control. Get carbon ceramic brakes, or brembo brakes, and ajust your car for less torque and more horsepower.
