there's even more ideas, and being your own boss. You can be 14, or 64 and make this happen. It involves vinyl LP record albums. It's an easy formula. I'm already doing it. 1ST--Go to a public library. Check out books on older rock and roll records. Thumb through the pages and see the ones that are of interest, by higher value. I go to thrift store, and other places and purchase albums, IF the cover is good, and the record is good, it's bought at dirt cheap prices. It'll resell much higher. Volume is the key. Buy, sell, repeat. All indoor work. It also matters where you live. Bigger the city, the better you'll do. E-mail me if you have questions. There's enough room in this plan for all.

Hi Tanner!
A great way to make money is to find something people need, want, or require. Are you good at math? Start to tutor. Are some of your friend's parents are totally tech-impaired and you just got an A in computers? Offer to show them how, for a price. If you are really responsible, offer to babysit little boys. Sell pencils for 25 cents outside the classroom of the teacher who gives who detention if you aren't prepared for class. A big thing is, chores that others don't want to do. You could pick up a neighbors dog poop for some money, or find another unpleasant chore that people are willing to pay you to do.
You can also get a work permit from your high-school, and talk to your counselor about work-opportunities.

It all depends on what you're good at. If you're good with kids babysitting is a good way. Some people who have little boys really like having a young man babysit so that's always an option. If you're good with animals dog walking/bathing can earn you a few extra bucks. If you are handy maybe you could do odd jobs for neighbors. If you live near a farm you may be able yo earn good money helping out on a farm. In some states you can work at grocery stores and baggers at your age. Hope that helps!

There is this young little entreprenuer that sells snacks and drinks outside the elementary school where we live. He has a folding table set up down the street from the school and sells stuff like small bags of chips, candy, Gatorade and sodas. You would need to buy the supplies and figure out a fair markup, but you should be able to make at least that much in profit in a week.

Go around to some local shops.. mechanics, hair salon, auto parts, laywer's office, insurance office, etc... Businesses that you know are privatley owned.
Find out who the owner is and stop by every few days and ask is there something that needs t be done... Sweeping, taking out the trash, sweeping the sidewalk, cleaning the toilets, shredding paper, delivering a pkg to another business... customize it for each place you go.
They will tell you "no" the first couple times, but once they know you are serious, they may find some odd jobs for you do to. Most of al be persisent in doing this.. A small business owner knows the value of self motivation and will respect that in you.

I would load a shovel, rake, gloves, safety glasses, and trash bags into a wagon or wheelbarrow, and go door to door in my neighborhood looking for odd-jobs. If you can tow a lawnmower behind you even better! Wear clean and serviceable work clothes and be prepared for dirty jobs, do them right away if possible. It may work well to let people offer to pay you a certain amount for the work, but make sure you are going to make at least $7 / hour for your hard labor.
Enquire at each home as to whether or not they have any work. Do not go inside the homes unless you know the people and your parents know where you are.
When you get a job make sure you work hard, clean up behind you when you leave, thank the person for letting you work and ask them if they are satisfied with the job you did. By the way, do your own laundry as soon as you get home - don't make more work for your parents just because you want to make money.
Also - make sure you ask for permission before you borrow your parents' tools

I know those kids that stand on corners holding the signs for new homes start hiring at 14 and they get paid approx. $8-10 per hour so working a day or two a week would be good for you

Find stuff to do for your neighbors that they don't want to do, and offer to do it for them.
Just look around and see what's not being taken care of in your neighborhood, and offer to do that work. Houses need painting. Cars need washing and waxing. Not everyone cuts their own lawns, or does their own gardening. Do they have pets that need walking. Babysitting. If not babysitting, how about entertaining their kids for a few hours for some small amount.
Good luck.
