Where is there good fishing in/near Jacksonville, NC?

Not sure how far Jacksonville is from Cape Hatteras, but if you could drive to Cape Hatteras, that's the place to go. Red Drum and Striped Bass are the favorite saltwater gamefish from the surf on the eastern seaboard.

Go out to the Wilmington or Morehead City/Atlantic Beach area.Call any of the tackle shops and they will let you know what is hot right now. Here is a site with local reports,I do not know how recent but it will get you started
