hi, my chihuahua is pregnant and her temp is 98.3 she is 57 days pregnant but just really sleepy, not acting any differently, but will she have her pups soon?

There's a chance that she will have another drop below 98. The pups will usualy appear 8-12 hours after the lowest drop. That said, the dogs never read the bloody books, so no telling for certain.

She is very close. Keep a close eye on her because she may have Dystocia & need a c-section or if the pups are too big there will be complications, if you see her straining any at all with no pups born, VET ASAP. Her temp. will be a consistent 98 degrees for longer than a few hours before Labor & then will rise again. You can look for panting, shaking, digging, loss of appetite, but some dogs show no outward signs until ready to deliver a pup.

Usually with in 12 to 24 hours after a temp. drop they start to go into labor. If you see nothing by then I'd get her into your vet. OK

Probably. If you don't see pups within 24 hours call the vet and ask for advice.

Within 24 hours - 62.5 days is just an average.

take her to the vet then get her spayed
