yes i think 3 pounds is a good and healthy amount. you get people asking on here 'HOW CAN I LOSE 15 POUNDS IN 3 DAYS' and i find it hard not to give a stupid answer to such a stupid question. if you are overweight or would like to drop a dress size then this is fine, just don't go changing your lifestyle to this.

Yes, this is a safe amount to loose each week however you may reach a point where you no longer loose as much as 3 pounds a week but this is normal

That is the absolute max you should lose per week on a regular basis. You may have weeks where you lose more or less (esp right when you are starting out you'll drop more), and that's okay. It's when it's all the time that it becomes a problem because your body just can't handle more than that. If you do lose more than that often, you aren't losing fat anywhere.

Also, losing weight at an average weight means you are more likely to keep that weight off.

No not at all. Either your not eating enough or exercising to much or a combo of both. 1 pound a week if you are trying to loose weight is safe.

I really don't think it's safe to lose too much weight too fast, so just be careful how much you lose and how fast. You could be suffering with a medical condition if not it is better to lose weight slowly and any way those who lose it fast are guaranteed to gain it back just as fast.

Pretty much yes! Most slimming clubs recommend about 2 lbs a week - if you are able to achieve 3 lbs a week, you will be doing very well. Good luck!
