maybe Im looking for an argument today, but I have this undying need to understand people, no matter what thier faith or belief, I want to know why, I would have been a better scientist than Christian. But I do have faith and really love the Lord, but I still have to know why, and from what I have been told, I am going to hell for questioning Gods word and not having enough faith. But, we mostly all agree that we are living in the end times, But we wont agree that God said that in the end times, his word will have been changed. by man. so if its so easy for you to believe Gods word and believe we are living in the birth pains of the end time, why is it so hard for you to believe the Bible has been changed to suit man, and I am wrong for questioning it?

So, I find it rather difficult to believe that God is so weak that men can tamper with His Holy Word. In fact, in Revelations, it says that anybody ADDING anything to His Word, plagues would be added to their name, and if anybody REMOVES anything from His Word, their name would be removed from the Lamb's Book of Life, so be not overcome with great concern. God is watching over His Word to fulfill it and bring it all to pass, just as He declared He would.
and by what he says here, somebody is going to try and do it during the end times, many churches have done it. he wouldt threaten it if he didnt think it was going to happen.

I don't think you are wrong to question anything, but be warned, that is why I left the church. They don't like questions. Every answer is some form of, "believe or go to hell"

My dear, God told us to love Him with all our heart, soul, MIND and strength.
It is not questions that are wrong, but questions that are not honest in their nature.
For instance, if you tell your child to do this or that, and he or she says "Why do I have to do THAT?" that's not an honest question - at the heart of the question is an attitude of rebellion.
God will NOT tolerate rebellion.
But, on the other hand, if you are sincerely trying to understand, then there is nothing wrong with that. The Bible, contrary to what atheists say, really DOES encourage us to use our minds.
But about your reference, I have read through the entire Bible more than once, and I have never seen any passage that indicates that God's Word would change by the hand of man.
On the contrary, God keeps indicating that His Word is a sure foundation, that it will NEVER change. In fact, Jesus, Himself, said "Not a single jot or tittle shall pass away before all has been fulfilled." (A jot and tittle is something like dotting your i's and crossing your t's)
Some of the scribes didn't get translations correct, but if you own a Strong's Concordance, you may take the words back to correct translations in the original languages. I purchased The Lost Books of The Bible, and I have a copy of The Atlas of The Bible, which describes in great detail how the people in different areas lived, worked and dressed. If you were to pick up a Bible and only read what God said (personally) and what Jesus said (personally), you would have what God and Jesus expect of us mere mortals.
I do not question what is written, but I do study it more in-depth. The word is pregnant--it grows in meaning. Each time I study, I learn more. You should pray and ask God for guidance. It is human to question things, but if you have chosen to believe, then study harder. It seems that the closer one gets to God, the harder Satan works on us.
Good luck and may God bless you.

Go ahead and question. If it is truth it will stand, and all lies will eventually fall.
Has the Bible been changed to suit man? Why don't you study to find out? You may want to start by going to the various museums that house thousands of original Greek and Hebrew manuscripts that came from thousands of years ago. Learn Hebrew and Greek and you'll find that the various documents are historically accurate and have not been changed over the thousands of years.
If you are talking about bible translations, may I suggest using a NKJV or an RSV, which are very accurate word-for-word translations of the original text.
As for the bible actually being changed to suit man, I would say that preaching has been changed to suit many men, but not the bible. The bible stands as God's word. Men who want to pervert the gospel use bible verses out of context to try to convince people of things.
If you don't know something to be true, question it, and compare what they say to what the bible says. Then you will know truth.

No, Cindy. People fail to realize that science and the Bible work together. People always say Science is the Right way and the Bible is full of lies, no, it's just that people today are so biblically illiterate, they don't understand the bible for what it's worth. It's not fair. The Bible hasn't changed, just our language. We need to understand the right translation to get the right message. Many Bibles are trnaslated in a way which we can't possibly understand the meaning. Do some correct research and you'll see, you can be a scientist and still love God. I feel that way.

um....I don't think it's wrong to have questions...or to ask them. But if you have any questions you should ask them to the Lord. If you doubt His word...that's different from having questions about his word...meaning things you've read and need further elaboration or a better understanding. Because He doesn't mind you asking him questions...it's when you stop believing in his word that becomes the problem. Yes we are in the end times and what man will do here is basically take things out of the word and live according to certain parts that suit their needs as opposed to living according to the entire word. Also, they'll do things like add on the word and take away from the word in order to change it. Trying to make the word conform to them...and not their conforming to the word.
But what exactly are you questioning?

No, you are not wrong for questioning it! How else are you going to learn if you don't ask questions? The Scripture says, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God. A workman needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (attempting to understand it)." God's word has LONG been changed to suit man. This is what religion is! It's MAN'S view of God. Therefore, you're better off studying the Bible from a VERY spiritual perspective and finding what YOU believe to be the truth about it and LIVE it accordingly.

Are you wrong for questioning it - No, you have the right to question whatever you want.
I have never heard a reputable scholar of the Bible or archaeologist who questions the authenticity of our scripture today. In fact, recent archaeological discoveries confirm Biblical accounts. We have portions of the New Testament that were written 8-30 years after the resurrection. They quote by name people who witnessed the resurrection.
The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls reaffirmed ancient passages of scripture and their content.
I simply have seen no evidence that scripture has been changed in any way other than better translation.
Pastor John
Addendum: Cindy, I am confused with what you are asking. If there is a verse that says the Bible will be changed, please reference it for me. It would help me. I wonder if you aren't referring to the many verses that talk about heresy in the end times. These are references to men and women who will intentionally teach error. They will misinterpret the scripture and will lead many astray through their false teachings.

You won't go to hell for questioning. If you have faith in Christ Jesus and accept Him as your personal Savior, heaven awaits you.
Regarding questions: Scripture says to make sure of all things. There is a whole Bible book devoted to the story of Job, who in the last few chapters questions God.....God, like a good Father listens to the questions, then sets him straight on his questions. Job was not condemned for questioning.
I agree that through the ages man has corrupted the word of God.

There are a some scientist that are Christians and when they make a scientific discovery it only strengthens their belief. Yes some people do take the bible and distort it. Your best solution is to find a version of the bible translated from the original Hebrew and Greek, say a prayer to GOD to give you wisdom and understanding, then read the bible for yourself.

You are so right. God inspired and protected the english translation of the manuscripts but satan ,in these last days, has come along and destroyed the HIDDEN MYSTERIES contained within by totally rewriting the Word of God. Paul warned us of this in 11 Thes 2:2, "That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, NOR BY LETTER AS FROM US, as that the day of Christ is at hand". Gal 6:11, Paul said, "Ye see how large a LETTER I have written unto you with mine own hand". These revised and re-revised bibl ,according to some man's wisdom, are headed "The Gospel According to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John" and etc:::: LETTERS AS FROM US! 11 cORIN 10:16, "To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in ANOTHER MAN'S LINE OF THINGS MADE READY TO OUR HAND". Read Rev 22:18, "If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:"
