To switch from puppy food to adult dog food?

I'm sure it's written on the back of the dog food bag, but I'm curious and at work.

Thanks!

I probably should have mentioned that she's an 8 or 9 month old Rottweiler. I can't be too sure of the age. I got her as a stray. But for her size, I'm guessing she's about that old, and she looks to be purebred (excellent proportions, coloring, temperament, etc.). All signs point to being purebred and 8 or 9 months old.

I was told by a vet that the small breed to medium should be put on adult food at 1 year old however the larger medium and large breed dogs need to be kept on puppy food for 2 years.

Depends a lot on the dog, I usually switch my pups over at a year, but if they're very large and growing quickly I'll switch as early as six months.

Most packages say "One year". But you can call around and ask breeders, animal rescue people or even vet clinics.
