Are plastic crotchet hooks allowed on flights originating from Canada and the UK?

I would like to crotchet during the long flights

Last time I checked they said crotchet hooks and knitting needles were aloud, siccors of course were not. But they do sell a little wheel that cuts yarn, it looks like a necklace I think lion brand sells it.

I'd write the airlines about that. Because they are pointed and can stab someone, they may not be.
