okay so i wont get into too much detail and theres a lot more complicated issues involved, but my parents got divorced last year, i was in a bad relationship, and im getting my associates degree.. i just turned 16 last monday.

my life is really stressful, and this summer has been better.. ive taken time to do yoga every day and paint and study(prepare) for next year to try to lighten the load a bit.. but i start school in 2 days and im really worried that ill be stressed out again and start being grouchy and in a bad mood..

last year i was cheerful and happy at school but when i got home i was practically a different person, disrespectful and mean almost.. looking back at it i feel so embarrased that i treated my family that way and ive explained to them that i love them and ive apologized

but i want help in how to deal with things.. besides the obvious talking to people and taking time to myself every once in a while

i just want your opinions.. thanks :)

Resistance training / exercises .
As you develop your stamina , you will gradually become more robust on the inside as well . You will find it easier to control your emotions , make your judgement control the rest , both your emotions AND your physical condition .
I have a sort of personal theory on this , that exertion on a regular basis leads to a kind of rearrangement of priorities in your mind .
Like , after a gruelling 1 hour run or jog , you will feel the need for REST , the need for WATER to remove your thirst , the need to take a BATH to be clean , the need to EAT , and as you satisfy those needs , you will appreciate that , you will feel that no other NEED should overpower you or affect your state of mind . The non-physical pains of anxiety and grief etc are thrown into sharp CONTRAST with the more realistic physical pains of hunger , thirst , fatigue etc .

You are so young, to be so stressful. You need to work, that off of you with a good diet and exercise, at 16 I didn't even know what stress was. You have plenty of time, or not to get yourself all stressed out, right now enjoy yourself, have some fun. Let loose, but not to loose. LOL

The most popular things for general relaxation are Valerian, Chamomile, and Hops.... but some people actually wake up when they take these and are just very relaxed.

There are also some supplements that can help with stress and relaxation if you wanted natural help for that. There is St. John's Wart, SAMe, some B-Vitamins, GABA, Ashwagandha, and L-Theanine

Wow!! 16 and getting your associates degree. You are ahead of most people and, obviously pushing yourself. We do get to the edge of tolerance for other people and their needs of us when we do that. Set aside a time to meditate and don't let anything interrupt that. You can do it with yoga or running or Tai Chi Chuan if you keep your attention focused on what you are doing. And try transcendental meditation or Silva Mind Control. Both techniques will take you to a place that is very tranquil. Take little mental vacations as well, visualize your perfect place where you are peaceful and relaxed. Go there in your mind when you feel overwhelmed. Good luck. Stay out of bad relationships, easier said than done since you are obviously very bright and people who are drawn to that can get jealous of your success and do what they can to bring you down. You don't need people like that in your life.

Usually when things pile up after time when I feel the most anxious and stressful . It has been building up for a long time and then it is at that time when I will explode or I will leave and be by myself and calm down and meditate and come back and face the problems and solve them to the best of my ability.

Have you tried exercise? My boyfriend goes for a run when he's stressed out and it really seems to help him.

I fthe yoga is helpful in releaving your stress - keep it up after school starts.
Make time for you -
Practice deep breathing releasing your stress between school and home. When you find yourself grumpy, breath and blow the grumpy ole you out.
