It would be a bad idea to go to the gym whilst you're healing and recovering, wounds exhaust lots of your energy to heal. Make sure that your diet contains plenty of protein and vitamin c as this will assist the healing process. Lay off the ice cream though, your wound needs to remain warm to heal, if the throat becomes too cold your body will attempt to return your throat to it's regular temperature by increasing the blood flow to the area thus risking haemorrhage. Hope this helps & good luck with your recovery.

well, what can i say. I fell of my bike and injured my leg. So no gym for a week or so for me too. But my first 3 days went really great! My body feels like it is benefiting from my active lifestyle. I dont restrict my diet too much, but still my body handles it. Use this 1 week positively, to give your body some rest so it can recooperate and fix all those broken muscles etc. Working out does break down muscle fibre constantly. Yeah so to stay healthy, all you have to do is eat healthy, and leave the rest to your body.

Good luck.
