I know, I've just wasted my time asking another dumb question ;-)

It just seems there are a few people who feel the need to tell you how you are wasting your time, not realizing that they themselves are wasting their own time telling you something you didn't really need to hear, because it isn't going to make a bit of difference to you anyway.

Why do people go through this exercise in futility?

I do because it starts arguments 9 times out of 10 and I love arguing. Arguing is the best way to learn something after all (civil arguing mind you not screaming at each other). Besides nothing is more mentally stimulating then clashing intellect with other people.

relies upon on what accepted you're utilizing to degree your self. in my opinion, i think each physique's existence concerns, there is not any actual difference i might say between an Einstein and the bloke working down on the food market. each and each is the two valued as a man or woman, and each and each contributes some thing thoroughly unique, who's to assert that the son or daughter of somebody who under no circumstances performed something became the subsequent Einstein. we are all intricately on the subject of a minimum of one yet another, and what impacts a factor impacts the full. So on the tip of the day, there rather isn't something to rigidity approximately, only stay the only right existence you could, and not in any respect seem back.

Of itself, telling people that they are wasting their time is futile unless accompanied by a suggestion on how to acclomplish the task more handily.

What it does accomplish is to position you to tell the time waster, "I told you so," At some future date. And that's always worthwhile.

i know what you mean. I was at one of my groups and i said "my bf is married still but nobody need bother to tell me to leave him because it would be a waste of your time--i wont do it" and about 10 different people tried to change my mind for three whole days. what a waste of time! what part of "i've made my decision concerning this issue" was unclear?

You're right! It is a waste a time to answer a question saying you're wasting my time. I teach school, so it's back to work for me, this summer has been fun on Answers, but now that I have routine of work back, must say this board on answers has been a battle zone. "Live and Let Die" please!

programming, and they are stuck on one station playing the same commercial over and over again. Maybe shorten it to "Go Away", cuts down a few milliseconds.
