A while back I asked a question about this (different account that was "suspended.") People said things like "big deal," "people are lazy," and don't let it bother you."

It does bother me! Are people do stupid that they can't write a simple sentence without making major errors? I know I'm not perfect since I'm typing quickly but GEEZE!

I hate the ignorance of people here when it comes to grammar & spelling. I know, I shouldn't let it bug me. However, when someone says things like, "they are going to THERE church," it is like fingernails on a black board! Come on people, it's "their," not "there."

I've never seen a statue of a critic. I don't care for the bad spelling. I could do without the atrocious grammar. However, it doesn't stop me from appreciating the effort to communicate. That should always be applauded.

i think of a element of the blame approximately misspelling is with the help of the inflow of email and text fabric messages. Too many anybody is getting to delicate with "text fabric talk" to the factor the place they are in a position to't talk in a written sort top. in addition they look too lazy to apply the spelling checker besides. It would not seize each thing, yet a minimum of it fairly is a start up.

I hate when people do that on Y!A. It smacks of superiority, and embarasses the person who posted their question. People who come here to deride others on their grammar or deride the state of American grammar in general are self-serving, bored individuals who basically treat all of us here as if we are stupid and in need of their divine wisdom.

Either way, as long as "lol" dies a horrible death, I'll feel as if I've accomplished something for all humanity.
