That's more flowery than I would have phrased it, but pretty much.

Actually, what you describe is the ultimate selfishness; in fact, by this means you are and remain a limited human being who will never 'find divinity", because when one finds Divinity, one wishes to "link up" with it, not pull away from it into the limited self. Only DEMONS wish to do such a thing; that is WHY they are and remain DEMONS! True, you have the opportunity to do so as well, but choosing that alternative consists of falling towards degradation in the endless cycle of birth and death, which is what we as humans are supposed to be GETTING AWAY FROM. Linking yourself up with Divinity, you increase and magnify your being and your awareness.Awareness is freedom; oblivion is slavery.

When it comes to goodness, there is only one who has no darkness in them and that would be God. Someone once said, "If, and I mean If we were to do absolutely everything right in the bible, We Would Only Be Doing That Which Is Required Of Us." We would not be doing anything extra.

We confused the condemnation of the world with God's doing when it was Adam & Eve that ate the forbidden fruit. It is mankind that's murdering each other, it is mankind that's stealing, raping, lying. God isn't doing these things to us so why are we blaming him?

The only reason we are godlike in any sense is that we are created in His image and likeness. Therefore we can never truly understand ourselves except in submission to Him. Make sense?

Keep looking for that divinity, and you'll find it next to the tooth fairy, Oz and that town where the Simpsons live.

I agree to strive to be the best you can and not subject yourself to any other being.

No, ,Sense is not a word that comes to mind.

Prideful, Arrogant and Self-deluded come to mind.

You may not know it (or perhaps you do), but you are paraphrasing Satan.

Without God's teaching, we wouldn't know what God is, and certainly wouldn't know what is" True godlike selves".

It makes sense only if you are into new age teaching, I believe the bible instead.

Hmm. I wouldn't argue with that. Though I'm sure you'll find no shortage of people here who will.

So long as we stubbornly refuse to bend the knee to our Creator, we can NEVER make sense of ourselves!
