I'm tralveing on pride of hawaii in November. I've cruised before and have always been able to pack liquor in the bags that I check and have never had it taken away. IT just gets delivered to my door with all my other luggage. Has anyone out there ever done this on NCL? Or, more specifically has anyone ever done it on Pride of Hawaii? If so, did you just pack it, or did you put it into a different type of container? Thanks!

Norwegian is really cracking down on alcohol being brought on the ships. Someone posted using a listerine bottle, well they have caught onto that one. If you are caught they will just confiscate it from you and dispose of it.

Even using water bottles, they will check to see if the seals are broke. They are probably the hardest of all cruiselines to try to sneak liquer onto.

I take booze in ship regularly. I just pour it in a flask and pack it with my luggage and/or buy some mini-bottle, like they have on planes, and soak the labels off and pack it with toiletries. All cruise lines look for liquor bottles, but they look for quarts and liter bottles not mini's.

You can pack clear liquid in a water bottle or a colored liquid in a bottle of a drink that is usually colored and the crew can't tell the difference.

HAVEN'T DONE IT ON PRIDE OF HAWAII, BUT HAVE ON OTHER N.C.L. SHIPS...(DON'T TELL ANYONE) DEPENDS ON WHAT KIND OF BOOZE YOU WANT TO TAKE... BRANDY IN A LISTERINE BOTTLE HAS WORKED... REMEMBER IF YOU GET CAUGHT, THEY CAN FORCE YOU TO LEAVE THE SHIP WITHOUT A REFUND... I WOULD SAY, BUY IT ON BOARD AND STAY SAFE!!! HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!
