Do I have to just forget about it, because she works there -- or is there anything I can do to see if she's interested too?
She acts friendly but maybe she is just a friendly person.

Ask her out while she's working? Just like that? Hmm, if she's uninterested, I'll probably feel guilty about bothering her while she's sort of required to be friendly.

Yes, I am the customer. I don't know if she treats me differently from other guys but you gave me an idea to ignore her and see if she pays attention to me. In the past, it's been I guess about 50/50.

Are you sure that it is common for a girl to be asked out while working? Everyone here seems to think it's normal. Does this mean she might think I'm uninterested if I don't?

sillygirl, she has been telling me what days she won't be there, and what time she came in. She might volunteer what time she gets off, if she knows herself. I might not need to ask. But what good will knowing that do?
