whenever i print screen a certain video the image comes out totally black when saved. Anyone got any idea on how to solve this?

Assuming you are using Windows Media Player:

Tools>Option>Performance. Click Advanced. Under Video Acceleration area, clear the Use overlays check box. OK everything.

Then fullscreen your video, and just hit the print screen button when you want to capture the image.

Other players (VLC, MPC, etc) usually have an option somewhere in the menus to capture a frame. If you are using a different player, just say so and I can give you more info.

Not quite sure what you mean, but you can get a picture from a video (eg Youtube) by pausing the video and pressing the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. Then open Paint and click Edit and Paste. This will give you a screen shot. You can Save the screen shot as a jpeg by clicking File, Save As and changing the Save As Type to jpeg. The screen shot will be saved to your hardisk in the folder you choose. You can then open the jpeg and use Fix to crop the picture so that you get just the video frame then save it again. This all works with Windows and you can probably get some other imaging software to do the job better.
