I'm bored, so I figured I would ask a question. Anyone can answer this, even though it is directed at the logic of some left wingers.
A lot of people ask "Why are we in Iraq". They see it as a useless cause, a waste of time, whatever it is anti-Iraq war people think. War is bad, negative.
Change of topic, a lot of people are worried about global warming, burning of fossil fuels, i.e. coal. which is bad, global warming
So my question about comparison is:
Iraq = Utah mine.
Innocent miners get killed in harsh conditions, just like innocent Iraqis get killed by radical islamic extremists. In other words, Trapped miners = Iraqi civilians.
Rescue team for miners in Utah = US soldiers trying to protect Iraqis from those Extremists.
So the question is, if people are always wanting to pull out of Iraq, does that mean those same people dont support the Mine Rescue mission?

Pulling soldiers out of Iraq = Pulling rescue workers out of Mine!!! Miners & soldiers know their job is dangerous..
Does that mean people that dont care about the well being of Iraqi lives, dont care about the lives of those 6 trapped miners??

No... By my logic, all new soldiers going over there are trying to continue the security of Iraqi civilians... You're saying the rescue team is only trying to get the other members of the rescue team out, not the trapped miners...

And I just showed you how I can equate the two, so tell me how they dont equate?? Its a comparison.. "an evaluation of similarities and differences", not how they are identical.... how they are similar.....

No I havn't seen it, im just trying to figure out why people only seem to care about the lives of people back home, and not those that are around the world...
Lets put it this way people.. If those trapped miners were Iraqi civilians stuck in a mine in Iraq, how would you feel???? Would you care and have our soldiers help them, or would you say "its their problem, we shouldn't help them cause its their mine, not ours"????

Grasshopper.. I never compared the miners to the islamic extremist... I compared the miners to the innocent, hard working Iraqi civilians....

Best answer so far, and understand what youre saying.. I still dont see why we should treat a trapped miner with more priority, than an innocent Iraqi kid.. Its not his fault the government isnt doing anything, just like its not the miners fault for getting trapped... Isnt ALL life supposed to be treated equally???
