Washington DC is my home. I will say though that you are not going to a skyscraper city. It is a city where the laws and the nearby aiport make it so that all the buildings are huge and big, but short, so when you drive into it, it may not seem like a New York, Toronto, LA.

As in all cities, you have good parts and not so good. To me, there are much moe good parts to DC than bad. You will most likely just go to the nice, pretty areas as a visitor. There is a lot to see!

Email me if you need any other help.

Washinton DC is nice, pretty cool. You will probably go and see some of the famous places there...like the White House, the Supreme Court, the Smithsonian, the VietNam memorial, the Lincoln memorial, etc, and its all pretty neat to see those places that you hear about from history.

Of course like any big city there are some places which are not so nice, any metropolitan area will have crime and poverty areas.

All said and done, it is a great place to see, I highly recommend it Ive never been to London, so I dont know how it would compare

Washington DC is technically Washington, District of Columbia, even nevertheless this is not any longer referred to as as the two Washington D.C. or D.C., as this is the only city interior the District of Columbia. The District of Columbia isn't area of any state, even nevertheless it incredibly is a federal district that borders Maryland to the north, east and west and borders Virginia to the south. The White domicile, and maximum different federal government homes (different than close by places of work), are placed in Washington D.C.

DC can be pretty busy. If you're not used to a lot of traffic then it might be a little harder to get around during rush hour. There are a lot of museums and monuments and some great places to go out. I don't live in DC but I'm from a surrounding state.

London is a much older city, with windy, usullay narrow streets.

Washington is newer and "planned". so the streets run in patterns. Lots of government buildings. Visit the Smithsonian and see the art and the Wright Brothers airplane.

No comparison to London. Downtown D.C is beautiful. you have the white house the museums and memorials. But once you set foot out side it's a bit crappy.

It's similar in the sense that everything is spread out rather than all being clustered together like NYC. But, one thing is for sure - you can actually find good food in D.C. as opposed to London.
