Meow and purrs enjoy your new kitten...I have let our kittens sleep in our beds and have had no problems...with that said that is what has worked for our house but our kittens were a bit older...not that much older though...
I did a quick search & found some great information that I am sharing and copying and pasting here for you.
What is your new kittens name?
Enjoy your kitten.
Purrs & meow,
Laura

Comfy Bed for Baby
Although your new kitten may be perfectly comfortable in a cardboard box lined with clean, soft towels or a small blanket, consider giving him a real bed, just like the big guys. The best bets are beds that are either fully washable or have a washable and/or replaceable cover.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Preparing a "Safe Room"
It may be a room, a closet, or a secluded corner
Your kitten will need a "safe room" for one or two reasons:
1.To have a place where he can retreat when frightened, feeling threatened, or just to relax and sleep.
2.To isolate him from other cats in the family until he's been "cleared" by your veterinarian.
A box with towels is good... also, add a stuffed animal, preferably one that "curls" up a little... kind of like a sleeping mama kitty.
Do not sleep WITH the kitten, as you could turn over on it and smother it.
But, DO spend a LOT of time holding it and cradling it. When i had my 4 week old kitten, I put my mouth close to his ears and made "licking" sounds, as though I were licking his fur, but I used my thumbs and fingers to actually "lick" his fur down. This not only comforted him back then, but it still comforts him when I do that.
The more you can hold that baby and simulate being a mama cat, the more mentally and sociably stable the kitten will grow up. Kittens don't usually do well when taken from the mama that early, but constant attentive care will ensure that she grows into a wonderful companion.
Do, please, consult a vet about other required care, depending on whether kitten is weaned or not. Also, feel free to email me for other care of young kittens.
Is the kitten weaned? If not, you will need to wean her, yourself. Talk to your vet about frequency of bottle feedings (I have forgotten since raising my 4 week old kitten) and only feed her KMR (kitten milk replacer).
I think a 3 or 4 week kitten is to young to have left it's Mother. She still had things to teach it, like how to use a litter box. Anyway, she needs to be in a confided area that she can't get out of itself, like a large box or the bathroom with the door closed (though I think that is to much space.) You can put a blanket, towel, newspaper whatever you want for it to sleep on but don;t be surprised is it sucks whatever you put in because it is still to young to be away from its Mother.
well if your cat is alowed on the couch, let him sleep there . otherwise just get a little cat bed from a pet store and put it somewhere like the living room or someones bedroom. The bed needs to be put somewhere comfy or where other people hang out or sleep so he doesnt feel alone.
Three to four-weeks-old is too young to be away from its mother. Hopefully you are bottle feeding this young one for the remaining weeks until she is fully developed. As far as sleeping, she will sleep wherever she wants, but something fuzzy, warm, and inviting is always a good idea.
You can buy a soft cat bed, a pillow, or just some soft blankets on the floor would be fine. Since its still so young, you can keep him in a bathroom or guest room or in your room if you want to.
I wouldn't let her sleep with you just yet. she is still a bit young. wait another couple of weeks so she gets bigger. keep her in a tall box with blankets, or a kennel. it helps if you keep an article of clothing of yours with her so she gets used to your scent. when she is older let her sleep in your bed. otherwise get a little kitty bed so she can be warm and snug when she sleeps. you don't have to worry about her going potty in her bed or yours if you immediately show her where the kitty box is.
Well, I would not let her sleep on your bed, unless you want her to potty in it. Just let her sleep in your room, on a blanket or a little kitty bed.
