I went fishing last week at our local pier. I noticed the guy next to us had 5 hooks on his line. All 5 hooks were tied directly to his line with a weight at the bottom. What's the name of that setup or how can I set my line like that. (I didn't get a chance to ask him).
They were not the sabiki setup.
thanks in advance

I use a fishing knot that comes from a paper out of a box of new line. Here is a site that shows how to tie many knots

Don't know what set-up the gentlemen had, but ya' can use what is called a "Dropper Loop". Link below will show ya' how to tie and it be animated to make it easier. Site has a lot of other type knots for fishin' along with a slew of others that may come in handy for other needs. Not sure if this'll help, but you'll be gettin' other Answers ppl responses that'll steer you in the direction ;)...

I used a hook system. EAch hook coms on it's own lanyard, so each of them has a loop at the end. Place all the loops into the hook of the line and add the weight to it.

A quick google search tells me that this is called using a FISHING LEADER system.

Start tying way up the line, move down a bit, tie another, repeat. Hope that helps.
