Many, like Adam and Eve, are hiding from a loving God because of the guilt of their sin. Jesus took care of that problem and now only wants to have a relationship with us again. Why don't you let him if you already haven't?

I guess, and I don't mean this as a slam, that many theists have trouble comprehending that is possible for someone to simply not believe that there is a God. To most theists the existence of God is an absolute truth. Therefor if someone says that they don't believe in God the theists assumes that the atheist really does believe, deep down, but that they are deluding themselves into believing there is no God.
Again, this not meant to be an insult, just an observation.

With all the pain and suffering created by the human impression of god, I think I am hiding. We all seem to be fighting over whos god is right.
I do not think this is what any "God" would want.

Because I don't believe he exists. You are begging the question here. Don't include unproven suppositions in your questions and you'll get better answers. For example, I could ask the following:
"Given that there is no god why do you believe in one?" but I would be guilty of the same sloppiness you are.

I don't believe in "sin" (a human-contrived concept), so I guess that makes me free of it. Being sin-free, I don't need a so-called "messiah" to save my "soul" (which I also don't possess).
For the record, I'm also a free-spirited exhibitionist. I've nothing to hide, LOL!

I believe he is hiding from me.
On the other hand he has an excellent excuse - he is entirely and wholly non existent.
So if you have let him in it just proves you are mentally ill - believing in non existent people is considered a mental illness in all other circumstances other than religion.
